Adding Herbs in Smoothies Recipe 2

Add some natural nutrients to your green smoothie for a great start to any morning! This smoothie recipe contains Moringa Powder. What is that you ask, and what are the benefits? See below for more details.

Well, when it comes to Moringa, there are almost too many to count! Native to Africa and Asia, the Moringa Tree, or Moringa Oleifera to use its scientific name, is one of the most nutrient-rich plants in the world. Three benefits include:

1. The reduction of tiredness and fatigue

2. Super immune-boosting powers

3. Anti-Stress

4. Energy Boost

5. Normal function of digestive enzymes.

One of my favorite smoothies that include this herbal all-star is Everything Nutrient Smoothie:

1 ½ cups of spinach

1 banana

1 Tbsp. almond butter

1 date (pitted)

1 Tbsp. cacao powder

¾ cups coconut water or almond milk

½ tsp. moringa powder

¼ cup ice

Put all ingredients in a blender (or NutriBullet) for 30-60 seconds until smooth and creamy. Pour into your favorite glass and enjoy!
